Abstract
In a major address given before The Catholic University of America School of Law, Father Richard John Neuhaus warned that contemporary Catholicism is losing its moral force in public life, largely because many American Catholics feel entitled to embrace only those Church teachings that dovetail with their personal politics and opinions, and to reject those that do not.
